2nd World Olympiad of Modern Greek Language

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Centre for the Greek Language organize the 2nd World Olympiad of Modern Greek Language under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. The event is sponsored by the “Charitable foundation of Ivan Savvidi”.

The aim of the course is to help all participants get acquainted with the Greek culture, history and everyday life in Greece and to improve their communication skills with Greek native speakers. Students will have the opportunity to retrieve basic elements of their heritage and tradition.

American & Greek-American students (Hellenic Link)

Study abroad program in cooperation with the Center for Hellenic Studies “PAIDEIA” (University of Connecticut, USA)

The study-abroad program is addressed to UCONN and non-UCONN students.

It takes place since 2002. Until today more than 200 American students have participated. The courses are offered in English language (with the exception of Greek language courses) by the majority of the University’s Faculties (eg. Philosophy Faculty, Sciences, Engineering, Economic and Political Sciences etc.) during the winter and spring semesters and cover almost all fields of studies.
